jgnat thanks for your reply...hey i am an actual multi millionaire. Well i was at one time. It was all invested in the dollers pounds shillings and pence of the Watchtower corporation.it was only a problem when i wanted to withdraw my investment...my investment was a congregation of dreamers who sold me the opposite of a typical salesmans pitch...but my faith was the same salesmans pitch ....and that something sale was sold with faith i invest in with out a guarantee.

Now i call that a risk investment in the land of tomorrow where things maybe ....

jgnat back to my post of 8 days ago and your kind reply. Would you not agree that faith is not about true or false?

I mean is not truth about how it makes us feel, if truth makes us feel important then its true?

Would you not say on the list of priorities to make our life worthwhile, truth is not high on the list?

Jgnat ...why does a belief system never collapse?

Maybe if its a belief system that gives identity? or maybe if its a belief system of community? or maybe if its a belief system of family? A belief system can be some fragile bridge...but the stength of that bridge is the support system when the oceon gets rough ( checking the foundation of that bridge can be emotionally tough)

. Why?

Because People are all so irational. And thats whyi forgive those that left me to drown when i left THEIR believe system. They had nothingto forgive except being irational ....

Indoctrinated Christians...

i was thinking that most indoctrinated christians i know seem never to ever question their faith.

no matter how sound the reasoning for another belief.in fact the stronger the argument destroying the christians beliefs the more proof positive the indoctrinated christian becomes of its evil origins.

satan, alert and the built in defence system against reason or logic takes effect.. the above is just my personal observation .

Villagegirl what exquisite faith you have and what beautiful language you used to explain your faith.

Irondork my observation was not a blanket condemnation on indoctrinated Christians, just my personal observation of those i have met. And these personal encounters have not left me feeling about them as i do about you. Your words make me think how very lucky you are to have something left, something thats real to you. I envy your faith. Maybe i wish i could believe . i noticed your words were not written to convert me or judge me, and this has not been the case with the indoctriated Christians i have met since leaving the witnesses on there ministry.

Depression & natural ways to deal with it

i was on prozac for about 10 years, and finally went off all meds about 18 months ago.

the prozac was causing me to have manic episodes, so they added a bipolar medicine as well as a sleep aid, and the bipolar medicine made me dizzy & nauseaus.

so now i work really hard at exercising regularly, i take a lot of natural supplements including natural lithium & megadoses of omega upon advice of a homeopathic doctor.

for me Love2beworldly , when i feel down its Buster Keaton and anything that brings smiles and laughter. The world is full of good comedy and there is something out there for everyone.

Thanks for the replys...yes indoctrinated Christians are everywhere...since i started this post i have

A. been given a religiouse tract in the shopping mall, and the guy told me it he was in a train crash that killed five people, but God saved him. Yes right and the five that died were they not worthy of being saved?

B. i have politely refused a tract and was told i am lost in my sins....

C. i have seen so many chuch members out delivering variouse messages and i have thought what really is the message? Is it not this?

The year of the Messiah is coming, that he may come at any time for what to us is a thousand years is but a day for God. And this is a message that can not be answerd. Yet this event some time in the never arriving future is the message that i am to believe.My mesiah will come flying through the air riding a white horse. And this immident comming of the messiah will transform all the pain in suffering on the earth and it will be such a gloriouse happening.

Well if thats the message then the voice of reason in me says what is opposing his arrival? Why are his beloved children suffering and starving on eart today?

Anyway i am not going to say the message is a lie but i would have preferrd those who offerd me those tracts to have been a little more loving and not so judgemental. A little more tolerent and a little less offended that i didnt instantly accept my salvation from them.

jgnat thats my point..we accept the damage our entertainment industry does to because we see it as entertainment, .and i think this industry has a worldwide impact of creating how we " see ourselfes"...thats why re your earlier post so few can appreciate a day in the country...people cant relax we only feal real men and women if we doing things like competing with each other..why? to own this or that and then even more of the latest this and that.

Its brilliant how our entertainment industry is such an egotistic marketing machine that people dont even think about how damaging it is..its responsible for so many ills in our society...and i am sure a poster like Farkel can reply with what i say is crap...but i think the entertainment industry caters for the youth and the impressionable first and like the W.T its not a good long term investment.

I refuse to believe i am influenced by big business and feal inadequate because of The super heroes i watch on T.V but cant emulate. The truth is i buy coke and eat my big mac and wish i was as tough and moral as my western heroes. ..Am i alone?
